Need to change your meal plan? Submit a meal plan change.

Campus Dining Meal Plan for Resident Students:
New resident students are automatically enrolled in the 223 Block  meal plan. At the beginning of each semester you’ll have two weeks to change your meal plan. When choosing a meal plan, think carefully about each selection available before making your decision. Consider your daily routine.

Resident Meal Plan Options

  • Traditional 19 Meal Plan
    Provides 19 dining opportunities per week at Oceanview Dining Hall plus $50 in flex cash per semester to use at any dining location on campus.

  • Block 223 Meal Plan
    Equivalent to 14 dining opportunities per week at Oceanview Dining Hall plus $150 in flex cash per semester to use at any dining location on campus.

  • Block 159 Meal Plan
    Equivalent to 10 dining opportunities per week at Oceanview Dining Hall plus $200 in flex cash per semester to use at any dining location on campus.

Commuter Meal Plan Options

  •  The 25 Block Meal Plan
    The Commuter Meal Plans have been designed to allow the flexibility to use Meal Exchanges at Oceanview Dining Hall. The plan provides 25 entries into Oceanview Dining Hall. The plan also has $100 in flex cash to use at our retail location on campus and eliminates the need to carry cash.  The cost of the plan is $220.00. The 25 meals and flex cash may be used at any time. The plan is non-refundable. The plan does not expire until all the meals and flex cash have depleted. Participating in the 25 Block Plan also makes you eligible to take advantage of bag lunches to go. These bag lunches may be ordered via the web for pick up at Oceanview Dining Hall.

  • The 40 Block Meal Plan
    The Commuter Meal Plans have been designed to allow the flexibility to use Meal Exchanges at Oceanview Dining Hall. The plan provides 40 entries into Oceanview Dining Hall. The plan also has $75 in flex cash to use at our retail location on campus and eliminates the need to carry cash.  The cost of the plan is $260.00. The 40 meals and flex cash may be used at any time. The plan is non-refundable. The plan does not expire until all the meals and flex cash have depleted. Participating in the 40 Block Plan also makes you eligible to take advantage of bag lunches to go. These bag lunches may be ordered via the web for pick up at Oceanview Dining Hall.

The Declining Credit Balance (DCB) Meal Plan offers students the flexibility to eat when and where they desire, choosing between the two locations on campus, Oceanview Dining Hall and Café in the Campus Center.

Campus Dining Meal Plan Option for Non Resident Students, Faculty and Staff

  • Beacon Bucks Card
    Opening a Beacon Bucks Account is a fast, safe and convenient method of managing campus life. This can be purchased through the Financial Office in the Campus Center. Here’s how it works:

    • Declining Credit Balance money management tool activated through your SMCC ID card.
    • Present your SMCC ID and your dining services purchases will be automatically deducted from your personal Beacon Bucks Account.
    • All your Dining Services purchases are tax free when you use the Beacon Bucks Card.
    • Beacon Bucks may be used to purchase meals in Oceanview Dining Hall and/or at the Café.
     

Once your Beacon Bucks account is opened you may continue to add funds to your account, with a minimum addition of $10.00.

Important Info

Lost Meal Cards
Please report any lost meal card to Campus Security immediately.

Using your Meal Card
Your SMCC College ID Card can be your ticket to the outlets on campus. With the purchase of a Beacon Bucks account, simply present your ID when you visit for meals in Oceanview Dining Hall or Café a la cart in the campus center. Each time, your purchases are deducted from your balance. Please treat your SMCC student ID (meal plan card) as a credit card. DO NOT lend it to anyone or borrow one from someone else. Fraudulent lending of your ID card will result in your ID being confiscated and sent to Office of Housing and Residence Life for further action.

Dietary Requirements
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program will try our best to accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact us at extension 5566.

Sick Trays
Sick trays are available for resident students. If you are feeling under the weather we recommend you visit the RA on duty who will then contact dining services to make arrangements to get a meal for you.

Campus Dining Policies and Procedures
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order the meet this goal, we need your help in adhering to the following procedures:

  • Please clear your table when you have finished dining and make the table available for others.
  • Please do not take dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Anyone caught pilfering food from any Dining Services location will be referred to the Office of Housing and Residence Life for further action.
